Unpacking Key Sustainability Drivers for Sustainable Social Enterprises: A Community-Based Tourism Perspective

This study unpacked the key sustainability drivers for successful social enterprises or community-based tourism (CBTEs), based on a of Thailand’s Best Responsible Tourism award-winner at Sapphaya Community in Chai Nat Province. Using grounded-theory qualitative case study, our research objective is to gain insights into how community and enterprise leaders national award-winning CBTE Thailand can generate value by revalorizing its cultural heritage local assets achieve sustainable tourism. The also explores increase engagement with multi-stakeholders. Our findings indicated two drivers, including leadership engagement, enterprises. An emergent model driving CBTEs proposed. It implies an importance as critical factor that helps preserve endowments (e.g., historical sites heritage) well develops capital. good sense ownership participation enabler toward results suggest how-to processes cultivating practice policy implications.
